Gcinumzi Qotywa

Founder and CEO

In his 21-year long career, Gcinumzi has been involved and led in the facilitation, development and execution of strategies for a variety of organizations including the Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency (BCMDA), Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), among others. In these organizations and others, Gcinumzi has led and motivated teams of various sizes and when the time for the new challenge came, he left behind very cohesive and purposeful teams.

As a facilitator and motivational speaker, Gcinumzi also facilitated and presented in leadership seminars on a variety of topics including Personal Leadership Development, Leading Without a Title, Time Management, Emotional Intelligence, Principles of Persuasion, Retention & Career Development, etc. It is also worth noting that Gcinumzi has done an extensive research in the areas of leadership in the public sector as well as sustainable communities, and these two topics comprised the research theses for his MBA and Master of Arts degrees respectively. His thesis for the Master of Business Administration focused on leadership development and it was entitled “Identifying Leadership Potential from an Intentional Change Perspective”.

Gcinumzi recently established the Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency, a municipal entity whose mandate was Tourism. Property Management & Commercialisation as well as Socio-Economic Development. He led the development of its strategy and the necessary operating guidelines, policies and systems. Prior to that he had led, a R1billion Environmental Protection & Infrastructure Programmes of the Department of Environmental Affairs as it Chief Director.

This programme had seven sub-programmes that cover a broad spectrum of environmental issues. The programme was addressing the issues of waste management, coastal management, land degradation, open space management, conservation, game management as well as youth development. During his time in this programme he had modernized it and developed its operating guidelines and processes.

Prior to that he had served as a Director for Quality Management and among his notable achievements was the establishment of the Monitoring & Evaluation function. Gcinumzi also worked at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) as an Operations Evaluation Specialist where he developed the first ever evaluation guidelines for the DBSA.

Gcinumzi holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria as well as a Master of Arts (MA) in Environment & Society from the same University of Pretoria.

Prior to that he had accomplished a BA (Hons) in Environmental Studies and a BA (Education) both from the University of Transkei. He has also completed a seven months Programme for Leadership Development (PLD) from the Harvard Business School, US, as well as two short courses i.e. Changing the Game: Negotiation and Competitive Decision-Making as well as Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage from the same Harvard Business School.

Gcinumzi also completed an International Programme on Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) from the Carleton University (in collaboration with the World Bank).


Mrs Abongile Hlabangana

Administration Manager

Abongile holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Fort Hare and a Certificate in Bookkeeping from UNISA. She has worked in the administration space with the PC Training and Business College as well as the Coega Development Corporation. In these roles her functions have included coordination of activities including travel logistics, office administration, records management as well as report writing. It is also worth mentioning that she has also performed financial administration as well as bookkeeping looking at one of the big clients for COEGA i.e. the Eastern Cape Legislature.

At Nondzaba Consulting, Mrs Hlabangana is effectively responsible for all the office management functions, including financial administration; book keeping; bank reconciliation, preparation of management reports; document management, record keeping, procurement processes; management of suppliers and clients, etc.


Ms Luzuko Notshati

Assistant Financial Administrator

Luzuko holds a Diploma of Public Finance and Accounting from the University of South Africa (UNISA). She has worked as a Financial Administrator Assistant in Evenir Construction Projects. In these roles her functions have included data capturing, invoicing, filing, reporting writing and bank reconciliation statements.

At Nondzaba Consulting, Ms Notshati works as an Assistant Financial Administrator which among other things entails data capturing, filling, bank reconciliations, following up on payments, ordering of stock, equipment and parts, etc.
